Terrific piece.

We really have to lie down in the beds we make ourselves. And remember, when we do, that while the loneliness of being alone is tough, it is also temporary. The loneliness of an unhappy relationship, much more the fear and trauma of abuse, are far darker places.

Even good relationships can be lonely, difficult, frustrating…

We have to live with realities in every iteration of our lives. One way to stay sane is to stop believing in “happily ever after” and “you complete me”.
